Nature of the service

chirpcoop.com publishes two distinct offerings operated by Remény Farm Kft.

Hen sponsorship (the patronage service at /hens) is an online hen care service. For a monthly fee a registered user sponsors a specific, individually identified hen living at the Remény Farm site in Hungary. The service includes:

• a digital view of the flock through a web account; the live camera feed is a separately flagged, gradually introduced feature,
• a daily, AI-generated chronicle about that hen,
• the right to name the individual hen the sponsor selects,
• an egg counter allocated to the individual hen, derived from the daily yield of that hen's group,
• permanent, read-only retention of the hen's non-identifying public history at the end of her life; personal references remain subject to the erasure rules in the Privacy Policy.

This is not a lease. The hen remains the physical and legal property of Remény Farm Kft. throughout. Eggs are not shipped internationally: the flock supplies households near the farm in Hungary. Detailed conditions and the force majeure rules are set out in the Terms of Service.

Chirp Coop is a mobile and web game. It has not launched. When it does, in-game purchases will be handled by the relevant app store, and hen sponsorship will confer no gameplay advantage.

Applicable law

Remény Farm Kft. is established in Hungary, so the service is governed by Hungarian and European Union law, in particular:

• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR)

Disclaimer

The egg allocation shown by the service is a value derived from the daily measurements of the hen's group. We do not warrant that the identified individual hen laid the eggs displayed. In the event of force majeure, in particular avian influenza, other zoonoses, individual illness or death, or a paddock-level or farm-level lockdown, the affected service may be suspended, subject to mandatory consumer remedies, including any refund or price reduction required by law. The detailed liability rules are set out in the Terms of Service.

The procedure is free for consumers, and the business must cooperate as required by law. Other competent bodies and consumer-protection authorities are listed in the Hungarian consumer authority's directory. Access to a court remains available.

The former European Commission ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025. The Commission's Consumer Redress portal provides guidance and a directory of approved alternative dispute-resolution bodies; it is not the former online complaint platform.
