Where donated eggs go
Every patron decides what happens with their share of real eggs: pick them up each week, donate them, or decide later. The farm may also recognize a separately funded donation in a patron’s name without taking eggs from that balance. This page explains both paths and where donated eggs go.
Who receives the eggs
Donated eggs go to families near the farm who need them, and to local charitable organizations that share food with people in need. Every donor chooses where their donation goes: to the local community around the farm, or through our food bank partner.
Where your donation can go
Locally: Mikófalva – Bekölce
Eggs stay in the villages around the coop: families near the farm and local helper organizations receive them directly, hand to hand.
Hungarian Food Bank Association
Our contracted partner has been rescuing food and getting it to people in need since 2005. Their motto is "We save food to save lives". Volunteers and partner charities save unsold food from hundreds of stores across the country, and the association helps around 250,000 people in need every year.

How it works
Every recognized donation is recorded with the number of eggs attributed to the patron. If donation is your active choice at the weekly close on Saturday at 18:00, your full positive balance is transferred and the same number is deducted from your egg balance. The farm may also attribute a separately funded donation to you: it increases your recognized donation total, while only the separately shown balance debit reduces your egg balance. The farm hands donated eggs over from fresh, separately tracked stock. Your egg ledger shows the recognized amount and any balance debit separately.
The weekly transfer happens only when donation is your conscious active choice. A separately funded attribution does not change that standing choice or decide what happens to future eggs.
